The New Garden and the Heart of Wisdom

Opening Reflection

In the new garden, we come face to face with divine love, wisdom, and the mysteries of creation. Jewish mysticism teaches us that the heart, particularly the heart of Eve, is the vessel through which divine wisdom—lev meivin da'at (לב מבין דעת)—can be obtained. In the Song of Solomon, we witness the beauty of love, purity, and union between a man and a woman, and in Genesis, the creation of Ahlab, a fertile place where life and wisdom can flourish.

This devotional seeks to intertwine the wisdom of Jewish mysticism, the purity of the Song of Songs, and the role of a born-again Christian man and a pure woman in reflecting God’s ultimate design. Through this, we understand that the heart—the lev—is key to accessing divine wisdom, and only through union can we fully grasp the depth of God’s creation.

Scripture Reading: Song of Solomon 8:9-10 (NLT)

"If she is a virgin, like a wall, we will protect her with a silver tower. But if she is promiscuous, like a swinging door, we will block her door with a cedar bar. I was a virgin, like a wall; now my breasts are like towers. When my lover looks at me, he is delighted with what he sees."

The Heart of Eve: The Gateway to Divine Wisdom

Jewish mysticism teaches that the heart—lev—is the seat of wisdom and understanding, particularly in the case of meivin da'at (מבין דעת), meaning "a heart that understands knowledge." To truly access divine wisdom, a man must connect with the heart of Eve, the first woman, the embodiment of divine intuition and nurturing.

In Genesis, when God created Eve from Adam's side, He did more than create a companion—He created a conduit through which divine wisdom could flow. Eve was the heart of the garden, the source of understanding and fertility. In her purity and connection to God, she possessed da'at, divine knowledge. The born-again Christian man, through love and union with a woman of purity, seeks not only a physical connection but a spiritual one. In this connection, he taps into the heart of Eve, accessing the deep wisdom and knowledge that flows from God's design.

In the Song of Solomon, the woman speaks of her purity as a wall, and her breasts as towers. This symbolism speaks to both protection and nurturing. The wall represents the guarding of wisdom, while the towers symbolize the nurturing of life and the sharing of that wisdom with others. Through union, the man and woman create a space—a new garden, Ahlab, where divine wisdom and life flourish together.

Reflection: The Role of Lamed in the Tradesman's Revolution

In Jewish mysticism, the letter Lamed (ל) is significant. It is the tallest letter in the Hebrew alphabet, symbolizing the connection between heaven and earth, and it represents the idea of learning and teaching. Lamed is the letter of the heart—lev—and is connected to the idea of growth and elevation. In the tradesman's revolution, the concept of Lamed is crucial. As spiritual tradesmen, we are called to both learn from God and teach others through our actions.

In the context of Song of Solomon and the creation of Ahlab, Lamed represents the heart’s role in the construction of this fertile place. Just as a tradesman builds with tools, we build with love, purity, and wisdom. The heart of Eve, the woman in this divine union, is the center of this building process. It is through her that divine wisdom is accessed, and it is through the born-again man's love and protection of her purity that this wisdom is nurtured and brought to fruition.

Ahlab, meaning "fertile place," becomes more than just a physical space. It is a spiritual realm where the heart of the woman, filled with divine wisdom, nurtures and grows the seeds of life. Together, the man and woman create not only physical life but a legacy of divine knowledge and understanding that flows from their union.

Prayer for Divine Wisdom and the Heart of Eve

Father,

We come before You, the Creator of all wisdom and understanding. You have placed within us a desire to know You and to access Your divine knowledge.

We thank You for the gift of the heart—the lev—and for the wisdom that flows from the heart of Eve, the mother of all living.

Lord, as we seek to build our lives in the new garden, Ahlab, may we tap into the divine wisdom that flows through our relationships. May the born-again man honor and protect the purity of the woman, and may the woman, like Eve, be a source of divine understanding and nurturing.

Grant us the heart of wisdom, lev meivin da'at , and help us to build lives that reflect Your glory. In Jesus' name, amen.

Closing Meditation: The Fertile Place and the Heart of Wisdom

In this moment, picture yourself standing in the fertile place—Ahlab—where love, purity, and wisdom converge. Imagine the heart of Eve, a source of divine understanding, beating in harmony with the heart of creation.

As you meditate on the union between the born-again man and the pure woman, see how their love creates a space where divine wisdom flows freely. The heart of Eve is the key to unlocking the mysteries of God’s creation. As they come together, not only do they create life, but they access the deep knowledge that comes from God Himself.

In this tradesman’s revolution, remember that Lamed, the heart, is central. Through it, you learn, grow, and build something that reflects the wisdom of the Creator. May you always seek to protect and nurture the heart of wisdom in all you do.

May this devotional guide you in understanding the connection between love, wisdom, and divine purpose. As you build your life, your relationships, and your faith, may you always seek to honor the heart—the lev—and the wisdom that flows from it, creating a fertile place where God's glory can flourish.
