Daniel 6:23 - "Then the king was exceedingly glad and commanded that Daniel be taken up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no kind of harm was found on him, because he had trusted in his God."
Hosea 6:3 - "Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth."
Devotional: Dreams are gifts from God, planted in your heart to bring forth purpose, hope, and a future. Yet, often, the journey toward those dreams is fraught with challenges, opposition, and uncertainty. You may find yourself surrounded by naysayers, doubters, or circumstances that seem to diminish the possibility of your dreams coming to life. But take heart. God does not give dreams without also giving the tools, strength, and resources to see them through.
Look at the story of Daniel. Despite facing hostility and even the threat of death in a den of lions, he held steadfastly to his faith. Daniel did not allow fear or the magnitude of his situation to intimidate him. He trusted that the God who gave him courage and wisdom would also deliver him. And God did just that, showcasing His power and affirming that no obstacle is too great when you are aligned with His will.
Similarly, in the book of Hosea, we are encouraged to press on, to know the Lord, and to trust in His faithfulness. Like the dependable rains that nurture the earth, God’s provision and guidance will come at just the right time. When He plants a dream within you, He also waters it, sustains it, and brings it to fruition.
Reflection: What dreams have God placed on your heart? Do you feel overwhelmed by their size, or the obstacles in your path? Remember, just as He did for Daniel, God has equipped you with everything you need. It may not be evident yet, but keep pressing forward, trusting in His timing, and leaning on His promises. Your breakthrough might be just around the corner, like the morning dawn or the refreshing rain that rejuvenates the land.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for the dreams You have placed in my heart. Help me to trust that You have equipped me with everything I need to accomplish them. When I face challenges or opposition, remind me of Daniel’s courage and the promise of Your faithfulness in Hosea. Strengthen my resolve, and let me press forward, knowing that You are with me every step of the way. Amen.
